Getting started
What is Whiplyn?
Whiplyn is a vehicle import platform for Ghana. You tell us what car you want, we assign you a dedicated agent, and you track the entire journey from search to delivery in the app.
How do I get started?
Open www.app.whiplyn.com in your browser and set your vehicle preferences (make, model, source country, budget). Submit your request and a dedicated agent is assigned to your order. You can also use our iOS or Android app when available.
Where do you source vehicles from?
We source from the US and Canada (auctions), Dubai (dealers), and China (manufacturers, including brand new EVs and ICE vehicles). Your agent can search across all three markets.
Costs & payments
How much does it cost to import a car?
Costs vary by vehicle, source country, shipping route, and duties. Your agent provides a full cost breakdown (vehicle price, shipping, insurance, port charges, duties, and Whiplyn fees) before you commit to anything.
When do I pay?
Payment is typically staged: a deposit when you approve a vehicle, with remaining balances at defined milestones (e.g. after winning the bid, before shipping). Your agent walks you through the exact schedule for your order.
Process & timeline
How long does import take?
Most orders complete in around 45 days from approval to delivery, depending on source country, shipping route, and port clearance. You can track every stage in real time in the app.
Who is my agent?
A vetted Whiplyn import specialist assigned to your order. They search, bid, communicate with sellers, and handle paperwork. You chat with them directly in the app.
Do you deliver to my door?
Yes. Whiplyn includes port clearance and delivery to your location. No need to collect from the port yourself unless you prefer to.
Trust & documents
What documents will I receive?
Your order vault stores all documents: vehicle title, bill of lading, GRA declaration, duty receipts, and more. Everything is accessible in the app at any time.
Can I import a salvage-title vehicle?
Yes, from US auctions. Your agent will explain the condition, repair history, and any restrictions. Clean-title and used vehicles are also available from all source countries.
